Massage
Massage manipulates the body's soft
tissue, and has beneficial effects on the nervous and muscular systems,
and circulation of blood and lymph.
Massage is not about "fixing"
medical problems or accute injuries, however it can assist the body
to heal itself.
Please feel free to contact
us for more information or to make
an appointment for any of our following massage services.
Relaxation
Massage
Relaxation massage relaxes body and
mind, eases muscular aches and pains and improves circulation.
It focuses on the client's need to relax
and let go of day-to-day problems. Speed and pressure of strokes
are adapted to each individual's needs.
Ortho-Bionomy
Ortho-Bionomy is a unique, gentle form of
soft tissue manipulation for pain relief and physical and emotional
balance, whereby the client remains fully clothed. It is used to
either complement other forms of massage, or as an alternative in
itself.
It is a non-invasive, osteopathically-based form
of therapy, highly effective in treating chronic stress, injuries,
and problems associated with postural and structural imbalances.
Ortho-Bionomy is particularly good for treating
neck, shoulder and back pain, migraines and headaches.

Pregnancy
& Baby Massage
Midwives from the ancient cultures
of Africa, India, Asia and Polynesia, have long used massage during
pregnancy and childbirth to provide relaxation and other benefits
to mothers and babies.
Touch, love, new life and positive growth
are interconnected. Touch is a major way for pregnant women to tune
into their body changes, and link closely with the developing baby.
Massage during pregnancy improves the flow of oxygen
and nutrients to the baby, and the removal of the body's wastes.
It also offers relief from back pain experienced by a large number
of pregnant women.
Pregnancy massage fits very well into a total
wellness programme which incorporates diet, exercise, posture and
deep relaxation.
Infant or baby massage is a wonderful
way to communicate, relax and bathe in loving energy. Baby massage
is taught to the caregiver, is easy to learn and can be easily done
every day.
